Our specialty is providing direct care support staff to organizations responsible for serving individuals with developmental disabilities. We also recruit and provide staffing to programs serving adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems.

We carefully screen the Direct Care Staff candidates according to the guidelines and regulations established by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. These include comprehensive background checks, face to face interviews, and verification of references. Once selected, the candidate completes our internal orientation and training, before being scheduled for the specific orientation and training required by the program to which they will be assigned.

Our staffing services include:  providing Temporary staff on an as needed basis for coverage of shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;  Temporary to Hire staff, allowing the client to assess the suitability and performance of the staff prior to actually hiring; and Direct to Hire, whereby we will recruit, screen, and refer a candidate to the client for final determination of direct hiring.

On both the Temporary and Temporary to Hire arrangements, the staff person remains on our payroll, and we assume all liability and responsibility for Human Resources and all other Personnel functions, while the client oversees their on-the-job performance.

Personal Care Attendant Services  (PCA)

Person-Centered Supports
With Community Choice’s PCA services, consumers and families have the ability to choose their Personal Attendant from a pool of available employees.  All our PAs are trained and qualified to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.  Our person-centered services give individuals the flexibility to choose a PA that best meets their support needs.  Also, because we are an agency, we can fill in on an emergency basis if and when needed.

Community Choice has been a provider of trained and qualified direct support staff to providers of community-based support services for people with disabilities living in Missouri since 1998.  We share the philosophy that individuals with disabilities should have opportunities for full inclusion in the community.  All our Personal Assistants are trained in Abuse and Neglect, Positive Behavior Supports, CPR/First Aid, Level I Medication, Consumer Rights, and HIPPA before they are placed to work with a consumer.   All employees background checks are completed including, Family Care Safety Registry, Division of Aging Disqualification Registry, Criminal Background history, and Motor Vehicle history.  We take every precaution to assure that the individuals our PAs support are treated with respect and are kept safe from any harm or danger.
